A one-family housing made by Luis Barragan to Gilardi´s family in Mexico is an architecture piece that employs colors to create spaces. Colors are a psychological elements that are used in architecture to increase or define feelings such as extended spaces, comfort, thermal levels and visual effects. In this house the architect use colors on the walls and facade to create poetics rooms that match with the light effects and the geometry. Also, the colors, the texture and the elements used in this house represent the Mexican culture. It is important for this architect to employ colors on his buildings that, as he said, “it is for pleasure, to bring the light into the space and to increase the proportions"
